Stating that they continue their work in knowledge, science, and education without pause in order to contribute to the future on this special day marking the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Bahçeşehir University President Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu said: "The students, academics, and staff of our University play an important role in building Türkiye's future. Our University's contributions and achievements along this path are a source of pride for us. The finest example of this is the 100 highly qualified doctoral candidates who are with us here today. Today we presented them with their doctoral acceptance and scholarship certificates. We believe that each of them will carry out important work that will contribute to Turkish higher education and the world of science. On the 100th anniversary of the Republic, we will all work hand in hand to go even further, produce more knowledge, conduct more scientific research, and find solutions to more societal problems."
"The Scholarship Gave Me Important Motivation to Continue My Studies"
Nihansu Yurtseven Akın, a mother of two and a doctoral student in the English Language Teaching program, said: "I am very proud. I was pregnant when I applied for the scholarship and had mixed feelings. On the one hand, I wanted to continue my higher education journey, but I wondered whether I would succeed. Winning the scholarship at such a time gave me very important motivation. I realized that I had to keep going. If I had not received the scholarship, perhaps I would not have continued my studies. I am proud to be part of this institution. On behalf of my 99 fellow scholarship recipients as well, I would like to thank everyone who built this idea."
Şenol Söğüt, also a doctoral student in the same department, expressed his feelings and thoughts about winning the scholarship as follows: "Today we have gathered here for a program highlighting the meaning and significance of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, entrusted to us by Atatürk. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Bahçeşehir University for organizing such a wonderful event. Being
provided with a doctoral scholarship will enable us to give our children a higher-quality education and to engage in scientific production. At the same time, it will add significant value to our personal development and to our country."
