New Teacher Coaching Model For Turkey

An innovative approach from BAU for the teacher coaching model for Turkey: “University In School”

With this new model being implemented in BAU’s Educational Sciences Faculty, candidate teachers are now able to have their education partially on the University campus and the remainder in elementary, secondary and high schools. Candidate teachers’ education is to be completed at their potential future workplaces with this new project.

PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS ARE BEING TRAINED

Candidate teachers will have their education at partner schools with selected teachers as “Assistant Teacher” in their 3rd year of studies after completing the primary part in the first two years. After experience in the field, Assistant Teachers will be promoted to “Candidate Teacher” status while working with another expert teacher in their final year. Afterwards, a “Candidate Teacher” becomes experienced and starts lecturing one day a wee.  Lecturing days increase with the experience they acquire over time.
