Master's Degree Opportunity in the UK from BAU

The collaboration between the Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Graduate School and MLA College UK offers the opportunity to earn an MBA degree with thesis through distance learning, along with two separate diplomas. BAU Global Chair Enver Yücel said, "Our whole aim is to raise good people, contribute to the development of the world and solve its problems. Systems in the sector are changing, and as universities we must keep pace."

The Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Graduate School has partnered with MLA College UK. The details of the collaboration were shared at a launch held on BAU's South Campus. Accordingly, in the program, which will be open to students and industry professionals who wish to pursue a master's degree at Bahçeşehir University, students who complete their master's program and diploma at Bahçeşehir University will also be able to earn an accredited MBA degree from the University of Plymouth and hold two separate diplomas by completing a thesis online with MLA College.

OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AS A MARITIME LAWYER

In addition, students of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences will be able to obtain certificates from MLA College during their undergraduate studies and have the courses they take recognized at BAU. Likewise, with the courses they take from MLA College, BAU Law students will be able to work as 'Maritime Lawyers' upon graduation, with a Faculty of Law diploma from Türkiye and a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Maritime Operations from the UK.

WE ARE CREATING OUR OWN ERASMUS

Noting that the UK holds a very strong position in maritime affairs, BAU Global Chair Enver Yücel said, "I am very happy, on behalf of both my country and my institution, to be part of this collaboration. As BAU Global, we are creating our own Erasmus. Erasmus is the EU's student mobility program; 23 years ago we said we would be global. Being a citizen of the world is important; every part of the world matters to us. In our early years we said 'our campus is the world'. A university in the heart of Istanbul whose campus is the whole world; today this can be understood much better. We are moving forward on this path."

OUR AIM IS TO RAISE GOOD PEOPLE

Emphasizing that maritime affairs are still not fully understood in the world, Yücel said, "We are working especially for the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, and for this to happen, our priority is the sea. Our whole aim is to raise good people, contribute to the development of the world and solve its problems. MLA College UK has been providing online education for years, and what we have done during the pandemic is clear for all to see; the world has now changed. The world will not return to the way it was before the pandemic. Systems in the sector will change, and as universities we must keep pace."

An Education Beyond Borders

• MLA College President John Chudley said they have a passion for providing quality education, adding, "Completing a full-time diploma program at Bahçeşehir University and completing a global MBA by writing a thesis through distance learning with MLA College in the UK is truly an education beyond borders. With this model, students will gain master's-level educational experience through classroom-based courses before starting the distance learning stage with tutoring from around the world. We have three goals: first, to offer flexible education; we also aim to support a sustainable environment and to raise people who will benefit humanity. These fully align with BAU's goals."
