Professor of Practice Michael A. Blasie at BAU: Experiential Learning and Communication Skills in Legal Education

Professor of Practice Michael A. Blasie from Penn State Dickinson Law visited Bahçeşehir University as part of a project aimed at teaching lawyering skills through experiential learning.

The course taught by Prof. Blasie, who came to Istanbul on 8 July 2024 for a one-month, three-part project designed to bring new and critical content to the Bahçeşehir University law school curriculum, aimed to give students the foundations of effective oral and written communication necessary to become successful lawyers.

The second component of the project introduced new teaching methods by presenting experiential learning techniques instead of a lecture-style approach.

Finally, the project gave Bahçeşehir University the opportunity to connect with an expert in plain language.
