MENTOR SUPPORT FROM THE INDUSTRY
The program aims to ensure that the products or services emerging from the development of technology- and business-focused ideas are carried out within a technical and commercial framework, and to provide the support that ideas and projects may need. A broad mentor network of members of Türkiye's leading companies and training that will help business ideas mature will support entrepreneurs through the BAUBİGG program.
APPLICATIONS CONSIST OF TWO STAGES
It has been announced that all services and procedures will be carried out online due to the pandemic, and for aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to apply, the process consists of two stages. In the first stage, candidates need to complete their application at https://bigg.bau.edu.tr/ . The applications will then be evaluated and the candidates will be selected. Candidates whose projects are selected will join the acceleration program and receive a series of trainings such as mentorship and business plan development. Candidates will be observed during the trainings and then evaluated and shortlisted. In the second stage of the program, the projects of the shortlisted candidates will be submitted to TÜBİTAK. TÜBİTAK will grant amounts of up to 200,000 TL to each project it accepts.
In addition, entrepreneurs who succeed at the TÜBİTAK BİGG panel will be able to benefit from various opportunities at the BAU Incubation and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (BAUICE) on the BAU Beşiktaş Campus, such as shared office space, use of infrastructure, use of the prototyping laboratory (raw material support) and entrepreneur patent support.
