About the Play

"The best way to hide a big scandal is to stage a small one."

Written by Friedrich Dürrenmatt in 1959, this play tells the tragicomic story of a bank caught in the triangle of money, power and ambition. In the play, all the wheels of the system that turns the bank's employees into a gang of gangsters gradually stop working, creating a grotesque storyline in which justice is utterly destroyed.
