Announcement on the Spring Semester Hybrid Education Planning of the Conservatory

Announcement on the Spring Semester Hybrid Education Planning of the Conservatory

Dear Conservatory Students,

In line with the decisions taken by our University Senate, the theoretical courses of BAU Conservatory in the Spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year will continue to be delivered synchronously online via the MS Teams platform.

  • However, our practical courses in music and performing arts will be held face-to-face at reduced density and in hybrid format, with all health precautions in place, in the proportions specified in the course syllabi.
  • The BAU Conservatory Department of Music has decided to switch to the hybrid system as of April, in line with developments in pandemic conditions.
  • The BAU Conservatory Department of Performing Arts has decided to start its hybrid practical courses as of 1 March, in the form of individual and small group work.
  • The music and performing arts rooms in our school building will be open to students through a reservation system.
  • We would also like to note that the Conservatory Directorate may take new decisions depending on possible developments in the course of the pandemic.

For questions about specific departments and courses, you may contact the heads of department.

Dear students, we are open to all your suggestions so that you can continue your quality arts education while protecting your health. We stand by you with all our academic and administrative staff.

I wish you all a successful semester and healthy days.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Bülent Sezgin

Director of BAU Conservatory
