Living the World Through Art

Prof. Dr. Cengiz Çakmak, Head of the Department of Philosophy at Istanbul University, delivered the seminar Living the World Through Art: Dionysus and Eros at our conservatory. At the seminar, attended by our students and faculty members, the metaphorical place of Dionysus and Eros, the two important gods of creativity in Ancient Greek mythology, in the 21st-century understanding of art was examined through a philosophical discussion. This enjoyable discussion concluded after a question-and-answer session with the students.
