Online Meetings within the SOBİD Project 1st Professional Development Program

As part of the 1st Professional Development Program of the SOBİD project titled "Design and Implementation of a Climate Change Teaching Module Based on the Socioscientific Issues-Based Teaching Approach," conducted under the 3501 – Career Development Program supported by TÜBİTAK, online meetings were held with teachers on Tuesday, 27 February and Thursday, 29 February.

The teachers met in online meetings organized by the project team to further develop the lesson plans created during the in-person professional development program held at Bahçeşehir University on 17-21 February 2024. In the first online meeting on Tuesday, 27 February 2024, the project team gave the teachers a short demonstration on digital skills, after which the teachers were divided into online breakout rooms so that each group could work together. Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Öztürk and project researchers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Özdem Yılmaz and Assist. Prof. Dr. Gaye Defne Ceyhan visited the rooms and supported the teachers' work on their lesson plans. In the second online meeting on Thursday, 29 February 2024, the teachers continued working on their lesson plans in their group rooms. Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Öztürk and project researchers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Özdem Yılmaz and Assist. Prof. Dr. Gaye Defne Ceyhan visited the rooms and supported the teachers' work on their lesson plans. The meeting ended after the teachers' questions were answered.
