Written and Practical Exam: In the written exam, candidates are asked to write a text based on a given concept, which also gives them the opportunity to express in writing their interest in and knowledge of the field. In this way, the aim is both to get to know the candidates and to assess their verbal expression and their ability to analyze abstract concepts. In the practical exam, candidates are asked to visualize a text in 6 frames and share it with the jury members.

Candidates with Special Circumstances and Disabilities: Candidates coming from outside the city for the exam, earthquake survivors, and candidates with health-related disabilities are granted the right to a portfolio presentation and interview on the day of the written exam, provided that they state their situation in the application form.

Portfolio Presentation and Interview: This stage aims to assess candidates' interest in and enthusiasm for the field and their readiness for cartoon and animation by seeing the effort and time they have invested. Candidates will be evaluated on their portfolios, which should primarily include work in Cartoon and Animation and, if any, additional works in other art disciplines, and questions will be asked about them. For detailed information on portfolio preparation, the relevant video can be watched on the Department of Cartoon and Animation's ANİM.İST İstanbul YouTube channel.
