An Unforgettable Winter Evening in Pera: The Magic of Theater Came Alive at BAU Conservatory!
BAU Pera, which shapes the cultural and artistic life of Istanbul, was swept up in the magic of theater last evening. The theater event held at the Bahçeşehir University Conservatory brought art lovers together and created unforgettable moments. Throughout the evening, which unfolded in an enthusiastic atmosphere with more than 400 attendees, the power of the performing arts was felt once again.
When the curtains opened at 18:00, the first play staged was "TEK," written with inspiration from the life of Müfide Ferit Tekin. Written and directed by BAU Conservatory Performing Arts undergraduate student Yunus Emre Berber, this impressive production met the audience through the performance of fellow conservatory student Mane Mara Maden. Enriched by the musical touches of our Music Department students Tuna Bilgin and Hira Dide, the play gave the evening a strong start.
Next on stage was "Çiçu," the satirical work of the master writer Aziz Nesin. In this play, staged under the supervision of Conservatory Deputy Director Buket Çelik, Yunus Emre Berber's performance gave the audience emotional as well as enjoyable moments.
The third production of the evening was "Hippi Ana," written by Nobel Prize-winning author Dario Fo. In the play, directed by Aral Çelik, one of the first graduates of the BAU Conservatory, our undergraduate student Ecem Su Altunkaynak won great acclaim for her performance.
This special evening full of art was crowned with "Same Time, Next Year" by Bernard Slade, one of the unforgettable works of the theater world. The on-stage harmony of Ecem Su Altunkaynak and Yunus Emre Berber delivered a powerful finale that touched the hearts of the audience.
Bringing together those devoted to theater and the arts, this magical night ended with great applause from the audience. BAU Conservatory Director Dr. İsmet Aydın thanked everyone who attended the evening, emphasizing that they will continue to come together in the light of art.
