Animist Cartoon and Animation Festival Begins

ANIMIST, the international animation festival organized by the Bahçeşehir University Cartoon and Animation Department, will take place on 13–16 August.

ANIMIST, Istanbul's Animation Festival organized by the Bahçeşehir University Cartoon and Animation Department, is back after a one-year break. With the themes "The Power of Animation" and "Women Power in Culture", it meets animation lovers in a hybrid format!

Among the main guests of ANIMIST 2021 is Helen Piercy, animator, educator and advisor to Animated Women UK, which supports women in the animation world in the United Kingdom.

ANIMIST 2021 will also feature a screening of the documentary "Fantastic Turkish Cinema: Sound and Visual Effects" (Sinan Demirtaş, 2019), along with various sessions on topics such as visual effects design and the post-production industry, film screenings, performances and workshops. We welcome everyone, in person or online, to ANIMIST 2021, held this year in collaboration with the British Council's #WomenPowerInCulture Support Program.
