IEEE Best Paper and Best Presentation Awards Go to BAU!

At the 12th IEEE IEMCON conference (Canada) held in October 2021, Software Engineering Lecturer Duygu Çakır, third-year Computer Engineering student Görkem Yılmaz and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca won the "Best Paper" award in the "Image Processing and Multimedia Technology" category with their paper titled "Facial Action Unit Detection with ViT and Perceiver Using Landmark Patches".

Duygu Çakır, who also delivered the presentation at the conference, received the "Best Presentation" award in the same category.
