BAU Timber Structures Application and Research Center at the 47th TurkeyBuild Istanbul Construction Fair

Bahçeşehir University Timber Structures Application and Research Center took its place at the 47th Yapı Fair - TurkeyBuild Istanbul, the longest-running fair of the Turkish construction sector and also the most influential business platform in the region.
On the first day of the fair, our Center Manager Demet Sürücü, a speaker at the Ecological Mind, Smart Material, Digital Network of Nature Panel held on the YAPI Arena stage under the theme The Raw Material of Discovery, gave a presentation on "Smart Material: Timber" and informed a large audience of architects, engineers and construction industry stakeholders about timber being inherently smart, the measurability of this intelligence in industry and timber structures, and beyond. She also spoke about the goals of our Center and examples of smart timber from around the world.
