Joint Anti-Stigma Event by BAU Faculty of Medicine and Sancaktepe Community Mental Health Center

A meaningful event aimed at combating stigma in the field of mental health was held in collaboration between the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine and the Sancaktepe Community Mental Health Center.

The program, run by students of the "DaVinci" club under the supervision of BAU Faculty of Medicine faculty member Prof. Dr. Özge Karadağ and attended by specialists and clients of the Sancaktepe Community Mental Health Center as well as BAU medical students and academics, addressed the psychosocial consequences of stigma on individuals in the field of mental health and the importance of preventing stigma and of community-based mental health services.

Following the panel held as part of the event, a music and poetry recital prepared by the clients aimed to raise awareness among health professionals and, through them, in society.
