In partnership with the Bahçeşehir University Creative Industries Research Center and Tazefikir Group, a certificate program for all professionals and amateurs interested in the Metaverse universe, where the workforce gap is growing rapidly, is being launched this year to train qualified human resources. The twelve-week program will explore many topics, including an introduction to the Metaverse world, blockchain technology, Metaverse platforms, wearable sensors, brand communication in the Metaverse, and the Metaverse and ethics. Throughout the program, experts who have made significant contributions to the development of the sector in Türkiye will deliver the training.
Participants Will Register for the Program by Donating Saplings
Another important goal of the certificate program, which aims to build competencies in software, design, hardware and content for the Metaverse world, expected to have a profound impact on many professions, especially entertainment, healthcare, communication, sports and education, and to create many new job opportunities, is to protect our planet. In this context, participants will be able to register for the program by donating saplings to the Aegean Forest Foundation. Thus, for the first time in Türkiye, trees will be planted as people register for a certificate program. Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Prof. Dr. Çisil Sohodol, faculty member in the Bahçeşehir University Department of Public Relations, said: "By opening the Metaverse Certificate Program to participation through sapling donations to the Aegean Forest Foundation, we aim to remind people of our responsibilities toward the physical world that makes it all possible as human existence comes to life in a new digital universe. With participants' donations, the aim is to establish the world's first Metaverse Forest while raising awareness about the digital carbon footprint. Technology is very important and valuable for making our lives easier, but our most important goal is to remind people that we have a planet we must protect and to emphasize the importance of environmental sustainability."
The certificate program, which aims to foster the development of innovative project ideas related to the Metaverse universe, will start online on 17 March, and applications will continue until 15 March. The saplings donated for registration will be planted in a suitable afforestation area in cooperation with the Aegean Forest Foundation, establishing the Tazefikir BAU Metaverse Forest.
