A Scientific Window from BAU Campus to Society: Science Communication Office Opens

Bahçeşehir University has launched the "Science Communication Office" with the aim of making science visible and impactful not only in academic circles but across all segments of society. Starting its activities with an opening ceremony held on 1 July 2025, the office has become the newest link in the university's vision of research and societal contribution.

Aiming to deliver scientific knowledge not only to experts but to the public in an open, understandable and engaging way, the Science Communication Office will work with a multi-channel communication strategy ranging from videos and podcasts to interactive digital series and public science narratives that bring stakeholders together. The office will also play an important role in increasing public trust in scientific developments and making science relevant to everyday life.

The office will undertake the task of simplifying the academic knowledge produced within the university, turning it into stories and communicating it effectively to the public. Content produced with the participation of BAU academics and students will integrate scientific knowledge into daily life through video series, infographics and experiential workshops.

In addition, by offering students hands-on programs in areas such as science storytelling, science journalism and visual science design, the office aims to turn them into active producers in this dynamic discipline. Through international collaborations, global examples of science communication will also be brought under the roof of BAU Campus.
