BAU Shorts Head to Cannes

The Bahçeşehir University & Cannes Short Film Corner cooperation continues to grow stronger. As every year, short films by BAU Cinema and Television students are being screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner this year.

The Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, will be held between 17 and 28 May this year. Bringing together renowned directors, actors and the year's outstanding works, the festival also hosts the Cannes Short Film Corner, which aims to introduce new talent, connect them with the industry and enable them to present their first works.

The Department of Cinema and Television of the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Communication, which takes part in the event so that its students' works can be featured at this gathering, one of the most important events in world cinema, and so that students can get to know international projects and film industry representatives closely, is participating again this year with student projects.

For the Cannes Short Film Corner, first launched in 2004 as a way to recognize short filmmakers as promising next-generation feature filmmakers, to offer these talents networking opportunities and to provide official access to the Cannes Film Festival and its market, a selection process organized exclusively for our university's students has begun. Those who wish to apply to this important call, in which a limited number of films will meet leading representatives of the world film industry, can share their projects with the BAU Department of Cinema and Televisionvia the page at this link.We wish all our students taking part in this process success and an inspiring production period.
