BAU 2024-2025 Graduation Ceremony Held

Bahçeşehir University's 2024-2025 graduation ceremony was held at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall. The ceremony, where approximately 6,000 students experienced the excitement of throwing their caps, was attended by Enver Yücel, Chair of the Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees and BAU Global; Hüseyin Yücel, Acting Chair of the BAU Board of Trustees; BAU President Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu; faculty deans, academics and the students' families.

YÜCEL: LET YOUR GOAL BE TO RISE ABOVE THE LEVEL OF CONTEMPORARY CIVILIZATIONS
Speaking at the ceremony, which began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, BAU Board of Trustees Acting Chair Hüseyin Yücel said: "Whatever you do throughout your life, have one red line: to work tirelessly and unwaveringly toward the goal shown to us by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk of 'rising above the level of contemporary civilizations.' This goal is the roadmap not of one era, but of every era. That line is the strongest guide that will carry you higher, both individually and as a society."

Advising the students to work for society, Yücel said: "Please do not build your life solely around your own success. Ask yourselves, 'What can I do for society? How can I benefit humanity?' Because true success begins when you touch the lives of others."

PROF. DR. ESRA HATİPOĞLU: WE HAVE ACHIEVED A VERY IMPORTANT SUCCESS
Congratulating the students, BAU President Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu highlighted BAU's success in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, published by the international ranking organization. Hatipoğlu said: "We have achieved a very important success by ranking 59th in the world. This success confirms our university's global vision, determination and effectiveness in the field of sustainable development. In this ranking, being 2nd in the world in gender equality, 7th in the world in quality education, and 50th in the world in peace, justice and strong institutions also shows that our university, while contributing to the scientific ecosystem, creates an impact that transforms societies."
