TURKEY WILL BE ONE OF THE FIRST ECONOMIES
Professors of La Sapienza, Prof. Anna Maria Simonazzi, Mauro Rota and Massmiliano Tancioni gave information about the financial crisis in old continent Europe including Italy. After the symposium, the dean of economics faculty, Prof. Giuseppe Ciccarone made an assessment and said that “I believe that universities which have economic faculties should develop their relationship with international universities. Turkey is a very important country for us in various aspects. Geographically, it is very close to us, we share same economic hopes and the country has a really strong economic growth. We have a really strong cooperation with BAU.”
Ciccarone also assessed Turkish economy and where the economy will be in the long term and he stressed the latest study of OECD by saying that no one will ever what will happen to economies in the long term. He said that “We can make predictions according to information they provide us and share the information that institutions like OECD shared with us. However, according to latest study of the institution, if any disaster would not happen or the current situation continues, Turkey will manage to be one the first economies in the next 50 years. Besides Turkey is making big progress in economics since 1980, therefore Turkey will be one of the important countries.”
