2025-2026 BAU Cartoon and Animation Department Special Talent Exam Dates and Lists Announced!
Written and Practical Exam: The written exam includes questions designed to assess candidates' level of visual perception as well as their interest in and knowledge of the field. Visual perception questions measure how individuals process, interpret and make sense of visual information. They may cover figure-ground relationships, similarities and differences, visual completion, visual memory, visual discrimination, visual attention and focus, spatial relationships, visual sequencing and organization, perception of color, texture and pattern, and responses to optical illusions. In addition, candidates will be asked to write a text based on a given concept and will be given the opportunity to express in writing their interest in and knowledge of the field. In this way, the aim is both to get to know the candidates and to assess their verbal expression skills and their ability to analyze abstract concepts. In the practical exam, candidates are asked to visualize a text in 6 frames, create a composition within the framework of a theme or topic, and share it with the jury members. Candidates who score 80 or above in the written and practical exam will be invited to the interview and portfolio presentation. Interviews are intended for full scholarship candidates. Not being on the interview list does not mean that a candidate has failed the exam; it means that the candidate is not a full scholarship candidate.
