Bahçeşehir University Navi USV Team Ranks 4th in the World at the Njord Competition

Great Success from Our Navi Unmanned Surface Vehicle Team: 4th in the World at the Njord Unmanned Surface Vehicle Competition!
As the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, we are proud of the outstanding success of our Navi USV team, founded in 2024, in the final stage of the Njord Unmanned Surface Vehicle Competition 2025 held in Trondheim, Norway.
Working with an interdisciplinary approach across mechanics, electronics, software and business development, our Navi USV team successfully passed the preliminary stage of this prestigious competition, which brought together 26 teams from around the world, and made it into the 12 finalist teams. In the final stage, with one team unable to compete for logistical reasons, our team represented our country among 11 teams and achieved a significant success by taking 4th place.
In addition, our team, which ranked 2nd in the evaluation of the technical competence, technical reporting and team presentation categories, continues to attract attention on international platforms with its R&D and innovation-focused work.
We wholeheartedly congratulate team advisor Lecturer Sinan Yiğit, our student team members Aslı Gönül Ansen, Ahmet Metehan Karaaslan, Semih Vicir, Mustafa Sepen, Selim Hacıömeroğlu, Ahad Aydın, Tuğsem Çandır, Utku Özcan and Menderes Kutay Kahve, and everyone who supported the process, and we believe that our team will pursue its future projects with the same determination and success.
