2025–2026 Academic Year First-Year Orientation Program Held

Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine made an enthusiastic start to the new academic year with the Orientation Program it organized to prepare its first-year students for university life.

Held on 22 September 2025 at 10:00 in the SB Conference Hall, the program was attended by faculty academics, administrative staff and students. The program provided comprehensive information on both academic processes and campus life.

Program Flow

• Dr. Selin ILDIR delivered the opening speech titled “From the First Step to Graduation,” inspiring and shedding light on the students' journey at the faculty.

• Prof. Dr. Gülden ÇELİK, Head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, gave an opening speech welcoming the students.

• Dean Prof. Dr. Merter YALÇINKAYA shared the faculty's vision and its expectations of students, and emphasized that the faculty is always there for them.

• Dean of Students Dr. Ömer VATANARTIRAN, in his talk titled “Being a Student at BAU,” touched on the social, cultural and academic opportunities offered by the university.

• On behalf of the Directorate of Student Affairs, İlayda ŞEN explained the administrative procedures students will frequently need in her presentation “Student Affairs and Academic Processes.”

• Arzu KULİĞ, Head of Library and Documentation, and Erdem KARAASLAN, Electronic Resources Officer, provided information on “Library Use and Borrowing Procedures.”

• At the close of the program, Assist. Prof. Dr. Merve KARAYEL BAŞAR, First-Year Coordinator of the BAU Faculty of Medicine, shared information on the first stages of the students' academic journey with her presentation “The First Year in Medical School.”
