“9th Applied Microsurgery Course” Begins at BAU Faculty of Medicine
The Rhoton Laboratory of the Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Medicine is hosting an important scientific event on 25–27 September 2025. Organized under the name “9th BAU Hands-on Microsurgery Course,” the course brings together surgeons and medical specialists who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in microsurgery.
Held for the ninth time this year, the course offers participants the opportunity to learn and develop microsurgical techniques through hands-on practice. Throughout the three-day training program, one-on-one practical work is carried out in a laboratory setting under the guidance of experienced instructors. The course covers in detail anastomosis (vessel and nerve joining) techniques, the effective use of microsurgical instruments and precise tissue handling methods.
Thanks to the modern infrastructure of the Rhoton Laboratory, participants have the opportunity to practice at stations prepared to international standards. As microsurgery is of critical importance particularly in fields such as brain surgery (neurosurgery), plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery, the course is aimed at physicians who wish to specialize in these branches.
Through such training programs, Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine aims to contribute to the sharing of knowledge in microsurgery not only in Türkiye but also in the international medical community.
