BAUMUS December Earthquake Awareness Events Begin!

As part of Earthquake Awareness Month, we are coming together through events that combine science, art and field experience!

📅 9 December: At this special event organized in collaboration with the Disaster Platform and the TMMOB Chamber of Geological Engineers, we will watch the film "Derin Uğultu" together with its director Ozan Turgut . After the screening, with the participation of Geological Engineer Özge Karslıoğlu, we will discuss earthquakes and their impacts in depth.

📅 16 December: Together with the BAUMUS team and students of the SOC2001 course, we will visit Kandilli Observatory. Hosted by the Earthquake Research Institute , we will observe technical processes such as the formation and measurement of earthquakes on site and deepen our understanding of the earthquake phenomenon.
