Tanbur and Guitar Duo Concert Held at BAU Pera Stage

The Tanbur and Guitar Duo Concert organized by the BAU Conservatory met music lovers at BAU Pera Stage. The concert featured Prof. Kazım Çokoğlu and Assist. Prof. Deniz Şahin, faculty members of the Department of Music and Performing Arts at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University.

The unique combination of the tanbur, one of the distinguished instruments of traditional Turkish music, and the guitar offered the audience a different musical experience. The elegant dialogue between the two instruments was brought to the stage with a special repertoire combining classical and contemporary interpretations. With its emphasis on the intercultural interaction of music, the event attracted great interest from the audience.

At the end of the concert, gifts were presented to the artists by Assist. Prof. Dr. İsmet Aydın, Director of the BAU Conservatory, and Prof. Dr. Murat Salim Tokaç, Director of the Haliç University Conservatory.
