BAU New Music Days 25 Held, Hosted by the BAU Conservatory
Held on 24–25 December 2025 and hosted by the BAU Conservatory, BAU New Music Days 25 addressed the current production practices of contemporary music within a multifaceted framework.
Within the scope of the event, concerts, workshops, seminars, panels and sound installations were held, focusing on composition, performance, technology and interdisciplinary approaches. New music was approached not only as a field of performance but also as a platform for research, the production of ideas and critical dialogue.
By making the interaction between academia and contemporary artistic production visible, BAU New Music Days 25 contributed to building a strong connection between knowledge production, sharing and artistic experience.
The project curators of BAU New Music Days were Prof. Dr. Murat Yakın, Head of the Department of Music Technology; Prof. Dr. Mahir Cetiz, faculty member at the University of Memphis; and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Özer, faculty member at the Yaşar University Faculty of Art and Design.
