Legacies of Women Forum

On 17 December, the "Legacies of Women Forum", held with the participation of Global Summit of Women President Irene Natividad, was organized with great interest and strong attendance.

The event began with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu, President of Bahçeşehir University. Taking the floor afterwards, Irene Natividad shared striking data on the representation of women in management positions around the world and emphasized the importance of increasing the visibility of women's leadership and connecting young people with strong role models. Natividad stated that the Global Summit of Women, to be held in Istanbul on 4–6 June 2026, aims to bring together approximately 1,000 participants from more than 60 countries and make women's leadership stories from Türkiye visible on a global scale.

As part of the forum, Nazlı Altıpat (CEO, Estée Lauder Türkiye), Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna (CEO, IBM Türkiye), Bahar Uçanlar (CEO, Diageo Türkiye) and Eda Uluca Özcan (CEO, Pluxee Türkiye), moderated by Irene Natividad, shared with participants their career journeys, the challenges they have faced, the responsibilities of leading in an age of uncertainty and their outlook on the future. Different perspectives ranging from cosmetics to technology and from e-commerce to the beverage industry were discussed within the framework of topics such as the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence, changing approaches to leadership and the importance of work–life balance.

Hosting this distinguished group of leaders was a great honor, and the experiences and insights shared inspired both the participants and the university community.
