Young People Design the University of the Future: "Reverse Mentoring" at the Faculty of Educational Sciences

The Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Educational Sciences hosted a game-changing event to shed light on the future of higher education. In the "Reverse Mentoring" practice carried out in cooperation with Bilim Virüsü, which develops innovative models in the field of youth and education, 10 high school students took the "mentor" seat this time and guided the academic world.

Academia and Youth Meet on Common Ground

​At this special event, which reversed the traditional understanding of mentoring, high school students and academics came together to seek answers to the question "What should the university of the future look like?" Throughout the process, the young participants offered solutions from their own perspectives on many topics, from ways of learning to campus life.

​As the BAU Faculty of Educational Sciences, we believe in the power of listening to the voices of young people and growing with their perspective. This Reverse Mentoring experience, carried out in cooperation with Bilim Virüsü, provided valuable input for our university's work on the "education model of the future".
