The 5th Intern Symposium "At the Threshold of Medicine" Held

The "5th Intern Symposium: At the Threshold of Medicine" was held on 1–4 April 2026, hosted by the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine. Organized under the theme "Sapere Aude" (Dare to Know), the symposium was planned as a free event with limited capacity, open to all medical students across Türkiye, and aimed to bring intern physician candidates together around clinical practice, emergency approaches and professional development. The symposium workshops were supported by professional trainers from Bee Akademi, while catering and the Alumni Pilaf Day event were provided with the contributions of Medical Park Göztepe Hospital.

The four-day program featured hands-on workshops, case-based theoretical sessions and experience-sharing sessions with alumni physicians. Participants took an active role in limited-capacity workshops such as basic and advanced life support, ECG and X-ray interpretation, and suturing and splinting, and had the opportunity to reinforce their clinical knowledge through sessions on current topics in emergency medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.

While an intensive academic program was carried out during the first three days of the symposium, the final day brought students and alumni physicians together through an alumni session, TUS experience sharing and social activities. The program concluded with selected student scientific presentations and a closing evaluation.

The program was held at the Göztepe Campus of the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, bringing together students preparing to step into the medical profession at this event full of knowledge and experience.
