BAU HİTMER and DurdağıLab Hosted Europe's Promising Researchers

Within the scope of the "RNA Targeting for the Treatment of Retinal Diseases (RETORNA)" project, funded by the EU Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program, of which Bahçeşehir University is a partner, Ceren Şahin and Yao Yao, two of the 10 PhD students conducting research across Europe, carried out their studies at DurdağıLab at the BAU Computational Drug Design Center (HİTMER) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Serdar Durdağı.

International Experience and Scientific Synergy
As visiting researchers at BAU within the scope of the project, Yao Yao and Ceren Şahin shared their experiences on the project's official platforms, highlighting BAU's research ecosystem.

Interdisciplinary Research: Thanks to the high-performance computing infrastructure of HİTMER and DurdağıLab, the researchers had the opportunity to model the interactions between complex RNA structures and drugs.

Cultural and Scientific Exchange: Expanding their local and global networks in the dynamic environment offered by Istanbul, the researchers completed the project's "secondment" phase with high efficiency.
