BAU Academic Achieves Three Major Successes in Artificial Intelligence

Dr. Furkan Kınlı, a faculty member in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Bahçeşehir University, achieved significant success at the NTIRE 2026 Workshop, held as part of CVPR 2026, one of the most prestigious academic platforms in computer science and artificial intelligence.

In the international competition focused on AI-powered image restoration and enhancement, Dr. Kınlı won first place in the Photography Retouching Transfer and Low-light Image Enhancement categories, and third place in the Night Photography Rendering category.

Competing against participants from leading research universities and global technology companies from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and South Korea, Dr. Kınlı stated that the innovative AI models developed through these projects represent not only competition achievements but also valuable scientific contributions to the academic literature.

The results of these studies will be published as research papers, and Dr. Kınlı will present his work at CVPR 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in artificial intelligence and computer science. CVPR 2026 will be held in the United States from June 3 to 7.
