BAU Washington D.C. has opened

Bahcesehir University, which has been opening campuses and education centers in all over the world, has opened its’ new campus in Washington DC maintaining its “World is my campus” motto. Many well-known and successful businessmen and statesmen participated in the opening ceremony on 17 May 2013.  
 

Bahcesehir University has initiated its’ U.S.A. investments with opening a language school in Washington DC and now the university has improved it by opening a new campus. With its remarkable location next to the reputational White house, the university will be providing a quality education to its coming students from all over the world. 

Enver Yücel, the chairman of the board of trustees of Bahcesehir University stated “We try to achieve our objectives for our country and the world via establishing quality education systems. We, as Bahcesehir University, aim to understand the paradigm changes in higher education and become a leading and pioneer institution in this area. Now, all Turkish institutions have self-esteem. We can state ourselves as a good example of these institutions in Turkey.” in his speech in the opening ceremony.    
 

He emphasized the importance of adopting a global perspective is highly crucial for those institutions to have a bright future. He continued his speech with adding “Today we perceive to have our students as international citizens in our Berlin, Silicon Valley, Toronto, Hong Kong, and Washington D.C. campuses. We strongly believe that institutions which do not have a global understanding are not able to stay as permanent institutions. For this reason instead of providing information based on one center we prefer to offer them observation and experimentation opportunities all around the world” 
 

Senay Yalcın, the rector of Bahcesehir university, has emphasized the importance of demolition of borders of science and technology between countries and he added more substantial bridges and permanent cooperation should be established between countries. He continued his speech by stating “Due to invasive globalization process students now have to graduate being as international citizens with more qualifications. Therefore, international cooperation between institutions have been expanding dramatically. With this respect, we have expanded our borders with another precious campus in Washington DC. Apart from meeting with American culture alive and living it in Washington, this education center will be providing education opportunities with various subjects to our students.”
