We look forward to welcoming everyone interested in design, furniture, production, and brand creation.
Banu Uçak is an architect, consultant, writer, and educator based in Istanbul. She completed both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in architecture in Istanbul and works as an independent consultant, supporting investors and institutions in design management. Actively engaged in architectural education for more than a decade, she has led architectural design studios and served on graduation juries. She has also taken on various roles within international architectural culture, including her long-term involvement in the Aga Khan Award for Architecture nomination process and her role as a jury member at the World Architecture Festival. Writing, speaking, and producing content on architecture, design, and the city, Uçak most recently published the monograph Simple Things and currently serves as the Creative Director of FÖRNİ, contributing to the brand’s ongoing international journey.
İbrahim Kılıç is the founder and director of Förni, a Turkey-based design brand. Bringing together the production experience rooted in Salkım Orman Ürünleri’s long-standing material and manufacturing background with a design-oriented vision, Kılıç established Förni as a contemporary furniture brand. Through collaborations with independent designers, he adopts a model that strengthens the relationship between production and design. With its focus on sustainability, natural materials, and production culture, Förni has begun to take part in the international design scene, including global platforms such as Salone del Mobile Milano.
