BAU Women’s Folk Music Ensemble Concert Held

The BAU Women’s Folk Music Ensemble, continuing its artistic activities under the umbrella of Bahçeşehir University Conservatory, met audiences on May 12 at the South Campus B Conference Hall.

The concert was presented under the artistic direction of Muammer Ketencoğlu and conducted by Conservatory Director Dr. İsmet Aydın. Performers included Burcu Baysal, Burcu Gebeş, Hande Tecik, Buket Şimşek, Pınar Özdemir, Şevin Tepe, Aslı Duran, and Ayşegül Sağlam.

Throughout the program, the ensemble performed selections from the folk music traditions of Anatolia and neighboring regions, offering a repertoire that emphasized the musical connections between diverse cultural traditions. The concert reflected BAU Conservatory’s commitment to collective music-making and the preservation of cultural heritage.
