Renowned director Mike Figgis, known for pushing the narrative boundaries of cinema, met with both festival audiences and students from the BAU Conservatory and the Department of Cinema and Television as part of this year’s Istanbul Film Festival.
During the masterclass, organized within the festival program, Figgis shared his experiences in filmmaking and reflected on his approach to the relationship between music, narrative, and visual language. A versatile artist who also composes the music for his own films, he offered students a distinctive perspective through his interdisciplinary practice.
The event was conducted with simultaneous interpretation in order to support international participation.
