“The most powerful science that touches human life is medicine.”
Medicine is not only about treating diseases; it also means protecting human life, sustaining hope, and inspiring trust in society. This honorable profession, which requires scientific knowledge, ethical values, and great dedication, has been one of the most important pillars of societies throughout human history.
Today, while the rapidly advancing science of medicine opens new horizons for human health through the power of technology and research, the conscience, knowledge, and dedication of physicians continue to form the foundation of healthcare services. For this reason, medicine is not only a profession but also a great responsibility undertaken for humanity.
Medical schools are among the most important institutions that carry this responsibility into the future. As the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, our aim is to educate physicians who think in the light of science, adhere to ethical values, are human-centered, and possess a strong sense of responsibility toward society. We continue our work with an academic vision that contributes to the advancement of health sciences.
On this meaningful day, I congratulate all healthcare professionals—especially our physicians—who work with great dedication for human health on the occasion of March 14 Medicine Day, and I extend my sincere gratitude to all healthcare workers who devote their profession to humanity. I also respectfully commemorate the healthcare professionals who lost their lives in the line of duty.
