The hybrid workshop titled “Is Every Complication Malpractice?” provided an important platform for discussion at the intersection of medicine and law. In this gathering, which addressed the boundaries between complications and malpractice in healthcare, expert academics evaluated case examples and shared current approaches with the participants. The event could be attended in person as well as followed online via Zoom.
Within the program, challenging situations encountered in medical practice were examined along with their ethical and legal dimensions. Cases where the distinction between complication and malpractice becomes blurred were discussed in an interactive setting, giving participants the opportunity to explore the topic from multiple perspectives through both theoretical knowledge and practical examples.
