Hosted by BAU Conservatory on December 24–25, 2025, BAU New Music Days 25 examined contemporary music production practices within a broad and multifaceted framework.
Within the scope of the event, concerts, workshops, seminars, panels, and sound installations were presented, focusing on composition, performance, technology, and interdisciplinary approaches. New music was approached not only as a field of performance, but also as a platform for research, critical inquiry, and the generation of ideas.
By making the interaction between academia and contemporary artistic production visible, BAU New Music Days 25 contributed to the establishment of a strong connection between knowledge production, knowledge sharing, and artistic experience.
The project curatorship of BAU New Music Days 25 was undertaken by Prof. Dr. Murat Yakın, Head of the Department of Music Technology; Prof. Dr. Mahir Cetiz, Faculty Member at the University of Memphis; and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Özer, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Art and Design at Yaşar University.
