Bahçeşehir University Conservatory hosted Susan Main, one of the official instructors of the Kristin Linklater Method, from December 15 to 19, 2025. Designed for conservatory students, this five-day workshop offered an intensive and high-quality training experience centered on the organic relationship between voice, body, and expression.
Throughout the workshop, the sessions aimed to help performing arts students use their vocal production processes more consciously and freely, enhance their physical awareness, and deepen their expressive possibilities on stage. In line with the core principles of the Kristin Linklater Method, the practical work was structured around breath, resonance, the relationship with text, and physical awareness.
Susan Main’s disciplined yet participant-centered pedagogical approach enabled students to develop both their technical and artistic skills. Through hands-on practice, participants had the opportunity to explore their voices as part of an integrated physical whole and to cultivate a more effective expressive language on stage.
Conducted with strong participation and interest, the workshop offered students an inspiring and transformative experience, while once again demonstrating our Conservatory’s commitment to contemporary performing arts education
