BAUMUS December Earthquake Awareness Events Are Starting!

As part of Earthquake Awareness Month, we are bringing together events that combine science, art, and field experience!
📅 December 9: In this special event organized in collaboration with the Disaster Platform and the Chamber of Geological Engineers of TMMOB, we will watch the film “Deep Rumble” with its director Ozan Turgut. Following the screening, we will have an in-depth discussion about earthquakes and their effects with the participation of Geologist Özge Karslıoğlu.
📅 December 16: We will visit the Kandilli Observatory with the BAUMUS team and SOC2001 course students. Hosted by the Earthquake Research Institute, we will observe technical processes such as earthquake formation and measurement on-site to enhance our understanding of the phenomenon of earthquakes.
