Bahçeşehir University (BAU) School of Medicine is hosting an important scientific event at the state-of-the-art Rhoton Laboratory between September 25–27, 2025. The “9th BAU Hands-on Microsurgery Course” brings together surgeons and medical professionals who aim to enhance their knowledge and skills in microsurgery.
The three-day course offers participants the opportunity to learn and improve microsurgical techniques through hands-on training. Throughout the program, participants engage in one-on-one laboratory practices under the guidance of experienced instructors. The course primarily focuses on anastomosis (vascular and nerve suturing) techniques, the effective use of microsurgical instruments, and precision techniques on tissue handling.
Thanks to the internationally standardized infrastructure of the Rhoton Laboratory, participants are able to practice at fully equipped stations. Since microsurgery plays a critical role particularly in neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and reconstructive surgery, the course mainly targets physicians and residents specializing in these fields.
Officials from Bahçeşehir University School of Medicine emphasized that such training programs contribute not only to medical education in Turkey but also to the sharing of microsurgical knowledge within the international medical community. They also highlighted that the course provides significant support for the professional development of young surgeons.
