You have the opportunity to continue your English preparatory program at Mentora College in Washington DC, United States. Details of the program are provided below:
What Is the BESL Program?
The BESL Program makes it possible to complete English preparatory education abroad. Through this program, our students can complete their English language education abroad.
What Are the BESL Program Education Centers?
Students who apply to the program can receive preparatory education at Mentora College in Washington.
What Is Mentora College?
Mentora is a well-established English language school accredited by CEA that offers an academically focused, challenging and encouraging learning experience. The aim is for students to benefit from the American approach to language learning.
Who Can Apply?
All students enrolled at Bahçeşehir University who will attend preparatory education can benefit from the program.
What Are the Program Durations?
For the spring semester, you can apply for the program for 4 or 6 months.
What Are the Tuition Fees and Scholarship Opportunities?
The program tuition fee is the same as the Istanbul Preparatory Education fee announced by Bahçeşehir University, and only an additional accommodation fee is charged. Students placed with any scholarship rate (ÖSYM, ApplyBAU, Diploma, etc.) can use these scholarships in the preparatory program abroadup to a maximum of 25%. Scholarships cannot be used for accommodation fees.

What Are the Accommodation Options?
Students participating in the program stay in our dormitories called Island Condos. A school shuttle service runs three times a day between the dormitory and the school. Public transportation is also available, with metro and bus stops located near the dormitory. The trip between the dormitory and the school takes 20-25 minutes by shuttle.
What Are the Accommodation and Additional Fees?
Accommodation Fees
- Double suite room with balcony: 1050 USD
- Double room: 920 USD
- Double room with bunk beds: 820 USD
- Triple room: 600 USD
The prices above are calculated per month and per person. Your total accommodation fee will be calculated according to the program type you choose (4 or 6 months).
*Students will be placed in the available room type. Available rooms are generally double rooms. Students reserve their preferred room on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spring Semester Program
4 Months / 6 Months
*Students who wish to join the Washington program pay the preparatory education fee determined by BAU as tuition. Valid only for the preparatory program abroad, the student's scholarship is accepted as a maximum of 25%. The student is responsible for paying 75% of the tuition fee. If the student has no scholarship, they pay the regular tuition fee.
One-Time Service Fees
Students pay 125 USD to complete their registration. This fee is non-refundable.
There is a one-time administrative fee to be paid as a service fee. This fee is 1260 USD. The administrative fee covers Mentora College administrative procedures, book costs, the shuttle service running three times a day between the dormitory and Mentora College, and the airport transfer fee. Students are required to pay a dormitory deposit of 300 USD. If there is no damage to the dormitory at the end of the program, the deposit is refunded to the student.
*Payments other than the registration and visa fees are made after students obtain their visas.
