What is the BESL Program?
The BESL Program enables students to pursue their English preparatory education abroad. With this program, our students can complete their English language training overseas.
Where are the BESL Program Education Centers?
Students who apply for the program can receive preparatory education at Mentor College in Washington.
What is Mentora College?
Mentora is an English language education institution with CEA accreditation, offering a rooted English language learning experience that is academically focused, challenging, and stimulating. The aim is for students to benefit from the American style of language learning.
Who Can Apply?
All students who have registered at Bahçeşehir University and will receive preparatory education can benefit from the program.
What are the Program Durations?
For the spring semester, you can apply for the program for 4 or 6 months.
What are the Tuition Fees and Scholarship Opportunities?
The program's tuition fee is the same as the Istanbul Preparatory Education fee announced by Bahçeşehir University. Additionally, only accommodation fees are charged separately. If students are placed with any scholarship rate (ÖSYM, ApplyBAU, Diploma, etc.), they can use these scholarships for a maximum of 25% in the international preparatory program. Scholarships cannot be used for accommodation fees.

What are the Accommodation Options?
Students participating in the program stay in our dormitories called Island Condos. The school provides shuttle service between the dormitory and the school three times a day. Public transportation is also available, with metro and bus stops near the dormitory. The distance between the dormitory and the school takes between 20-25 minutes by shuttle.
Accommodation and Extra Fees:
Accommodation Fees
Double suite room with a balcony: 1050 USD
Double room: 920 USD
Double bunk bed room: 820 USD
Triple room: 600 USD
The above prices are calculated on a monthly, per-person basis. Your total accommodation fee will be calculated based on the program type you choose (4 or 6 months).
*Students will be placed in available room types. Available rooms are usually in the double room category. Students reserve their preferred room based on the order of registration.

Spring Semester Program
4 Months / 6 Months
*Students who wish to participate in the Washington program make the payment for the preparatory education fee determined by BAU. The scholarship for the international preparatory program is accepted as a maximum of 25%. The student is responsible for paying 75% of the tuition fee. If the student does not have any scholarships, they pay the regular tuition fee.
One-Time Service Fees:
To create a registration, students must pay 125 USD. This fee is non-refundable. There is also a one-time administrative fee that must be paid as a service fee. This fee is 1260 USD. The administrative fee covers Mentor College book expenses, the shuttle service between the dormitory and Mentor College, and airport transfer fees. Students need to make a deposit payment of 300 USD for the dormitory. If there is no damage to the dormitory when the program ends, the deposit fee is refunded to the student.
*Payments other than registration and visa fees are made after students have obtained their visas.
