With the cooperation of Bern University of Applied Sciences and BAU Faculty of Architecture and Design, and with the coordination of Assist. Prof. Dr.Bilgen Manzakoğlu, a workshop entitled "Istanbul, Identity and Lighting" was held between August 26 – 28, 2019.
Within the scope of the workshop, instructed by Cecile Hummel (Bern Uni.) and Bilgen Manzakoğlu (BAU), Industrial Design students from both universities worked together to design lighting fixtures, which are meant to be used in interior / exterior in various neighborhoods in Istanbul. Students worked on their designs in groups, considering the characteristics of each neighborhood.
