Global Leadership Forum Held in Giresun

The Global Leadership Forum, organized by the Bahçeşehir University International Leadership Application and Research Center (ULMER) and the School of Government and Leadership (HLO), was held under the title "Peace and Security in the Neighborhood" at the Giresun Zifin Hotel on 10-12 June.

The international system is undergoing a rapid transformation. While global concerns encourage world leaders to look at long-term trends, regional conflict dynamics are bringing tensions to the fore. Decision-makers, advisors, academics and conflict experts who came together at the Giresun Kulakkaya Plateau discussed the global dynamics shaping the future of world peace and the regional developments challenging international peace and stability, and presented recommendations to world leaders for global peace and stability.

Evaluating the forum, Bahçeşehir University President Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz noted that this was the first time they had organized such an event centered on peace, saying: "We came together to discuss how peace can be achieved and how it can be made lasting and sustainable. We will analyze the current situation through scientific data and, with the results, present various recommendations to world leaders and leaders in this field. Our aim is to contribute to making peace lasting in these lands and in neighboring countries."
