Short films produced by Bahçeşehir University Cinema and Television Department students met with the festival participants in the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival this year, as every year.
At the 75th Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious festivals in the world, Bahçeşehir University Film and Television Department represented the cinema of the future in Cannes with our students this year. Within the scope of the cooperation of Bahçeşehir University (BAU) & Cannes Short Film Corner, the short films of BAU students took their place in the Cannes Short Film Corner this year, as every year.
In Cannes, where Prof. Şirin Karadeniz, our President, and Prof. Nilay Ulusoy, Head of Film and Television Department accompanied our students during their first international film festival experience, our students not only exhibited their films in the short film corner but also had the opportunity to attend the screenings of films world premieres of Baz Lhurman Elvis, Emin Alper Kurak Günler, David Cronenberg Crimes of the Future.
BAU students not only brought their short films together with international film professionals but also supported the country's cinema by participating in the world premiere of Emin Alper's “The Burning Days”, which competed in this year's “Un Certain Regard” selection.
