BAU Shorts at the Cannes Film Festival!
Short films produced by students of the Bahçeşehir University Department of Cinema and Television met festival participants at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner this year, as they do every year.
At the 75th Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious festivals in the world, the Bahçeşehir University Department of Cinema and Television once again represented the cinema of the future with its students. Within the scope of the Bahçeşehir University (BAU) & Cannes Short Film Corner cooperation, BAU students' short films took their place in the Cannes Short Film Corner this year, as every year.
In Cannes, where BAU President Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz and Head of the Department of Cinema and Television Prof. Dr. Nilay Ulusoy accompanied our students on their first international film festival experience, our students not only showcased their films at the Short Film Corner but also had the opportunity to attend screenings of films having their world premieres, such as Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Emin Alper's Burning Days (Kurak Günler) and David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future.
BAU students not only brought their short films together with international film professionals but also supported the country's cinema by attending the world premiere of Emin Alper's "Burning Days" (Kurak Günler), which competed in this year's "Un Certain Regard" section.
The short films featured in the "Bahçeşehir University Shorts" selection of 9 short films are:
