The UK-based international higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE) announced the "THE 2022 Impact Ranking" data. Bahçeşehir University ranked first among Foundation Universities on the list.
The leading higher education rating agency, Times Higher Education (THE), has published the results of its research in line with the seventeen fundamental problems of the world and the Sustainable Development Goals it proposes as solutions to them. In addition, how much of the 1,400 universities evaluated worldwide have contributed to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals were explained.
The sustainable development goals determined by the United Nations (UN) aim to make progress on many important issues, especially in ending poverty, ending hunger, providing health and quality life, providing quality education, and ensuring gender equality. The UN supports governments in integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into their national development plans and policies with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), established to carrying out seventeen goals. Operating as the development agency of the United Nations, UNDP carries out its activities in more than 170 countries and regions.
Many different development goals were evaluated in the research, and many universities from Turkey entered the list. Istanbul Technical University ranks first in the Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure category. Also; Middle East Technical University ranks 2nd, Yıldız Technical University 3rd, Erciyes University 4th, Boğaziçi University 5th, Dicle University 6th, Ankara University 7th, Bahçeşehir University 8th. Bahçeşehir University took first place among foundation universities in this category.
