This Monday, April 18, 2022, ArchiDesign Timber Talks will be hosting architect Francesca Brancaccio! You are all invited to this valuable seminar titled “Humble and Overbearing: Using timber in heritage building conservation and adaptive reuse”, which will be moderated by Msc. Demet Sürücü.
**Born in Naples, Italy, she is a conservation architect, specialized in the Conservation of heritage buildings and sites, Ph.D. in History of Architecture and Urban Planning. She is the founder, CEO and technical director of the Italian firm B5 srl, responsible for historical research, analysis of decays and pathologies, surveys, design and construction management. She is responsible as project manager of many national and international projects of conservation of historical buildings, archaeological heritage and UNESCO sites (Archeological Parks of Pompeii, Colosseo, Ostia Antica, Campi Flegrei, etc). She teaches in the Post Graduated School of Conservation of the University of Naples Federico II (SBAP), and she participates, as keynote speaker, in national and international conferences and talks. She is a member of the International Scientific Committee for the restoration of the Tower of Saint Denis in France and member of the board of directors of Assorestauro.
